During my career, I have worked in many different area's of IT and enjoyed the diversity. However, when I started working with PowerShell and Automation, I definitely felt like I was in the 'deep end of the pool'! I enjoy the challenge of learning something new and I believe that you will as well.
When offered the opportunity to learn PowerShell Automation and Server Provisioning, I jumped right in! Did I make mistakes...YES! However, I continued to learn, solve problems and strive towards consistent 'Best Practices'. It's easy to use PowerShell, or any scripting toolset, with shortcuts or abbeviations. However, when eventually need to review the code for something that is preventing it from working, which we ALWAYS do, I don't want to spend time fighting with myself! It became crucial to my development of the PowerShell Scripting Language, to always adhere to a specific set of rules. While not easy to follow, they have served me well and they will serve you well too.
